K-MAG Granular is an excellent source of potassium, magnesium and sulfur for bulk blended fertilizers. Mined near Carlsbad, New Mexico, this naturally-occurring mineral known as langbeinite has a guaranteed analysis of 22% K20, 11% Mg (18% MgO) and 22% S.

Low Chloride Content
The maximum chloride content of K-MAG Granular is typically below 3.0 percent, minimizing the potential for fertilizer "burn." Thus, it is widely used on sensitive vegetable and fruit crops requiring high fertilizer rates, and on other crops - tobacco, for example - which have a high potassium and magnesium demand, yet are sensitive to chloride.

Non-Acidifying
K-MAG Granular is neutral in pH and does not contribute to soil acidity.

Totally Water Soluble
K-MAG Granular is totally water soluble; providing potassium, magnesium and sulfur in a form readily absorbed by plants. Yet, because of its crystalline nature, K-MAG Granular dissolves gradually throughout the growing season, thus providing a continuous source of nutrients.

Replacement of K, Mg and S
Potassium, magnesium and sulfur are three basic nutrients essential for plant growth and vital to profitable crop production. They are continually removed from the soil by high-yield crop production and, in the case of sulfur and magnesium, are not replaced by many of today's high-analysis fertilizers.

All-Natural Product
As an all-natural fertilizer product, K-MAG Granular is approved for use with organically grown crops.

Balanced Fertilization
Crop producers worldwide have reported extra profit from K-MAG fertilizer when using it to help balance a good fertility program. Exact monetary benefits from using K-MAG fertilizer depends on crop, cropping systems, soil type, degree of nutrient deficiencies, previous cropping methods and climatic conditions during the growing season.

Agronomic Characteristics
Potassium is required for the uptake of nitrogen and synthesis of protein and starch. It also helps activate more than sixty enzymes, making them available to stimulate other chemical processes within the plant. Adequate potassium is essential for fruit formation, optimum yields and high quality. Magnesium activates a large number of enzymes in the plant and is also required for the synthesis of chlorophyll - the vital green pigment necessary for sugar manufacturing in plants. Sulfur activates a number of enzymes, is vital to the formation of amino acids, is crucial in the production of protein and is especially important to plants with high oil content.
