Sergio is a seasoned industrial operator and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the minerals, manufacturing, and transportation sectors. In addition to founding Rush Salt, a trusted supplier of salt-based products for the secondary aluminum and automotive industries, and Premier 1 Trucking, growing it from a fleet of eight trucks to more than 100, Sergio is focused on growing IMC with attaining disciplined operations, achieving scalable growth, and driving consistent revenue performance. His commitment to industry leadership and regulatory stewardship on his multiples state and regional boards will provide visionary guidance to IMC. Sergio holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and an MBA from the University of Texas Pan American.

Kelvin brings more than 35 years of executive leadership in domestic and international sales and marketing within the global fertilizer industry. Located in Calgary, Canada, Kelvin will serve in a management consultant role to offer counsel to build International Minerals Carlsbad’s commercial market strategy. The focus will be to strengthen IMC’s profitability and expanding market share with customers and stakeholders across North America and international markets. His collaborative approach and leadership style will empower the IMC team to optimize their logistics and distribution networks, improve transportation options and offer a value-driven customer-focused business model. Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan.

Don Purvis is a seasoned mining and industrial operations executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience. He previously was the General Manager of the site for more than 20 years. Don will oversee all aspects of mine operations, processing facilities, workforce leadership, maintenance and long-range capital planning. He is widely recognized for driving operational reliability, improving production efficiency, and building high-performance, safety-driven teams across complex industrial environments. With his deep institutional knowledge of the Carlsbad mine, its orebody, systems, cost structure, and operational constraints, makes him uniquely positioned to lead IMC’s go-forward operations transition. His leadership, technical credibility, and personnel experience will anchor the site’s shift from corporate-operated to owner-directed control.

John Tatum brings over 25 years of private investing, governance and executive leadership across U.S. industrials, real assets, and special situations. John’s experience across CVGC Holdings, H.I.G. Capital, Charterhouse, Citi, and a North Texas–based private equity firm has given him deep expertise in structuring financings, leading operational transformations, and partnering with management teams, positioning him to support IMC’s postClose valuecreation efforts. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Williams College, and an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

With more than 25 years of experience across mining, fertilizer, and industrial operations, Peter Haugen is a seasoned operations leader recognized for driving safe, efficient, and innovative business performance. Peter has led major mining and processing sites for organizations where he served as General Manager across multiple mineral operations. His career highlights include advancing site safety and operational excellence, leading large-scale mine transitions, strengthening mechanical integrity and inflow control programs, and guiding new mine development aligned with long-term life-of-mine strategies. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and an executive MBA from Queen’s University.

Mark McDonald is a dynamic and passionate senior agricultural leader with nearly three decades of North American and global experience across plant nutrition, crop protection, seed, and agriscience markets. Mark consistently empowers teams, builds trust-based partnerships, and creates customer-focused solutions that deliver long-term value across the agricultural value chain. Mark has held senior executive roles at large multi-national corporations along with agriculture cooperatives where he has led large, cross-functional teams, managed complex global supply chains, negotiated international agreements, and delivered strong commercial and operational results. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba.
